Introduction

Combat rogue is the 3rd top dps spec in ICC. It gives a fair amount of raid utility and raid buff to the raid and a solid high damage output. At least one combat rogue is a must for 25man raiding but since it does a lot of damage there can be more. The only huge inadequacy of rogues in general is the lack of aoe.

Talent

1. Talent for low gear Rupture build

2. Talent for higher gear, Eviscerate build

With the talents provided you should use Swords and Axes!

Glyphs

1. Major

- Glyph of Killing Spree Reduces the cooldown on Killing Spree by 45 sec.

- Glyph of Sinister Strike Your Sinister Strike critical strikes have a 50% chance to add an additional combo point.

- Glyph of Eviscerate Increases the critical strike chance of Eviscerate by 10%.
- Glyph of Rupture Increases the duration of Rupture by 4 sec.
(depending on your build)

Stat Priorities

1. Hit Rating 9% needed from gear >> 9% gear + 5% Precision + 3% Misery/Improved Faerie Fire = 17% (hard cap for dual-wield is 27% which is pretty much impossible)

3. Armor Penetration 1400

4. More hit until 27% is never bad

5. Agility

6. Crit / Haste

Meta: Relentless Earthsiege Diamond +21 Agility and 3% Increased Critical Damage

Red: Fracutred Cardinal Ruby +20 armor penetration
Delicate Cardinal Ruby +20 strength

Yellow: Fractured Cardinal Ruby +20 armor penetration if you have your 1400 armor penetration >> Glinting Ametrine +10 agility +10 hit

Blue: Nightmare Tear +10 all stats in the best socket bonus value possible, in BIS gear it is your belt
